The Work Trauma Recovery Podcast discusses self-defense against hostile workplaces. Centering the personal experiences of Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Non-binary people, this podcast interviews BIPOC and LGBTQ+ workplace abuse survivors, employment attorneys, professional coaches, and trauma-informed mental health providers. 

Interviewees are from healthcare, nonprofits, education, and corporate workplaces with positions including Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) Officer, surgeon, attorney, researcher, life coach, educator, and clinic manager.

 

Topics discussed include strategic engagement with HR, how to leverage anti-discrimination law in self-defense, racelighting, institutional betrayal, racial and LGBTQ-related workplace trauma and somatic self-help approaches to healing physical and psychological injuries of workplace abuse.
