Creative Business Resources for BIPOC & LGBTQ+ Businesses

Updated: Sep 21, 2023

For too long BIPOC and LGBTQ+ workers have been enduring workplace toxicity. The Great Resignation marks a turning point of workers leaving exploitative and abusive jobs for healthier workplaces. Included here are several creative business resources for minority businesses.

64% of businesses established in 2022 were founded by Women of Color (Shephard, 2023) who “generate $1 trillion as consumers and $361 billion in revenue as entrepreneurs, launching companies at four times the rate of all woman-owned businesses.” (Purushothaman, 2022, p. xv).

Black women own one third of the 12 million women-owned businesses in the US (Fleming, 2022) and Latina-owned businesses grew 87% in a 5-year period (Shephard, 2023).
